Mexican market there is a considerable community of users hooked on vaping and traditional electronic cigarettes.The question that arises is, is there room for the IQOS?I think it is still early to venture an answer, what is true is that at least smokers now have a different option to obtain their dose of nicotine.One of the most recent versions of this peculiar gadget is the IQOS 3 DUO, which DUO comes in a box with a premium finish and quality, as you would expect for its price.Inside the package we will find the following:As usual, let's start with the design, but first a note, the IQOS is made up of two parts, the Holder, which houses the tobacco units, and the Charger, which also functions as a transport and protection case.The dock is small enough to fit in your pocket without any inconvenience.The IQOS Charger is an essential element to use our IQOS several times, as I mentioned before, it has two functions;store and load the Holder.At first glance, the IQOS 3 DUO reminds us of a portable battery, its dimensions are 115 mm long x 45 mm high x 22 mm wide.It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand without any problem.In this case, the unit that was sent to us is brushed metallic copper, while the top cover is the same color, but polished and shiny.In the upper part of the casing we find the power button and two light strips, the first elongated, is made up of 4 LEDs that indicate the remaining charge level of the base (25, 50, 75 and 100%), the smaller lights circular, they indicate when the holder is being loaded inside.Inside, it houses a 2900 mAh battery, enough to charge the holder 20 times, which is equivalent to a pack of HEETS.Once it has been completely downloaded, it will have to be connected to the power through a USB Type C charging port that is located on the base.It takes about two hours to fully charge again.The charging case opens from the side, with a slight pressure we will make the holder appear, which we will describe below.The IQOS 3 DUO Holder is a device similar to a cigarette in which tobacco units (HEETS) specially designed for this gadget are inserted.Its dimensions are 92 mm long by 15 mm in diameter at its widest part.At the upper end, where the tobacco units are inserted, the diameter is reduced to 10 mm.At the bottom is the magnetic base where the battery is recharged.Located almost in the center, we will find the power button and two circular LED lights that indicate the status of the battery.Now that we understand the anatomy of the IQOS 3 DUO, let's proceed to describe its operation.The first thing to do is to fully charge both the charger and the holder with the original IQOS cables.To turn on, you have to press the charger button for four seconds, if you just want to see the battery level, you have to press the button once.Next, we must introduce the HEET gently into the chamber where the heating bar that will heat the tobacco is located.We must not rotate the tobacco unit, as we could damage the heat bar.Next, we must hold down the power button until it vibrates twice, the lights will begin to flash, which means that the holder is heating the tobacco, which will take about 20 seconds.Once the indicator light has stopped flashing and you feel two vibrations, you are ready to inhale.A full charge lasts 5 minutes, enough time to consume an entire HEET, in our tests this gave about 20 puffs.After this period of time, the IQOS will vibrate twice to warn that there are 30 seconds of battery left and that there is not much more left to inhale.When you finish inhaling, slide the lid up, remove the consumed HEET, discard it, and slide the lid back down.And that's it, that's it!In terms of performance, the IQOS 3 DUO needs to be recharged after every two uses, I think that's where the DUO nomenclature derives from.After that, it is necessary to return the Holder to the charging case for about 3 and a half minutes for it to recharge.Once we have finished, we extract the HEET by removing the top cover of the device.Although it is not necessary to clean the heat wand after each use, it is recommended to do so on a regular basis, as residue could affect the taste of subsequent HEETS.The cleaning tools provided with the kit do a good job of maintaining the device.So now you know, IQOS must be cleaned regularly if we want to maintain its functionality.At first glance, the experience with the IQOS would be expected to be the closest thing to any electronic cigarette to replicate the sensation of smoking and it is, but with its differences, the IQOS has a greater impact on the throat when inhaling, perhaps it is the closest to giving a touch to the normal cigar.It also has a somewhat bitter taste, which is good or bad depending on how you look at it, perhaps current or former smokers will enjoy this.However, vapers used to a large number of flavors of liquids available on the market may not find it so pleasant.HEETS are nothing like regular
